Destination Site and Interactive Map
To help increase readership of the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) report, NIKE, Inc. challenged us to turn their 178-page document into an intriguing, online experience. In order to engage more of the audience, we broke down the CSR report into small, easily digestible sections to create a through line to their larger-than-life story.
Nike fans and shareholders can engage deeper with the company through exclusive interviews that range from the CEO, Mark Parker, giving an overview of NIKE, Inc and the CFO, Don Blair, discussing the importance of sustainability, to employees discussing work conditions and Nike’s “worker empowerment” ideology. The behind-the-scenes videos explore Nike culture, inputs for design and innovation, community involvement (RED and the Nike School Innovation Fund), and other topics that introduce Nike, not just as an athletic brand, but as a world-encompassing lifestyle.
A key feature of the site is its interactive map that shows Nike Brand contract factories throughout the world. Users can select any of the 46 countries to learn about Nike employment information, including factory demographics, total sales, and the manufacturing profile.
The site also offers quick links to company information, such as various business models, environmental goals, company processes and employment policies. There are also charts ranking Nike’s social impact, target vs. actual levels of output per division, resource utilization and sustainable practices. Users can choose to download the CSR report by chapter or in full, and can reference the site’s detailed glossary of NIKE, Inc’s acronyms and initiatives to help further comprehension of the report and truly understanding what makes Nike run.
